The Opening
Wedding Dates · Life Decisions · New Beginnings
Some decisions are not only about timing.
They are also about place. And the two, read together, change everything.
Every new chapter has a doorway. This session finds yours.
Not just the right moment — but the right moment, in the right place, aligned with who you are and what you are beginning.
The question is rarely just "when?"
It is "when, and where, and what does this opening ask of me?"
Timing and location.
Read together.
Most astrologers offer electional astrology and astrocartography as separate sessions. In The Opening, we read them as one.
Because the moment you choose and the place you choose it are not two different questions. They are one decision, with two dimensions.
We look at your birth chart alongside the sky on your chosen date — and we look at what that date means from the location where it unfolds.
The old question
"What is the best date for this?"
The deeper question
"What is the best doorway for this next phase of my life?"
What this session answers
When. Where. And what this opening is asking you to step into.
"You are not being told what to do.
You are being shown what is available to you —
and from there, you choose."
Electional astrology is the practice of choosing when to begin something important, so that the moment itself carries the best possible conditions.
In this session, we go further — reading not only the timing but the location, and when it involves two people, the charts of both, read together with the sky.
Who you are. The planetary energies that travel with you into every decision, every beginning, every new chapter. The constant beneath everything.
What the sky is offering on the dates you are considering. Which transits support what you are beginning. Which moments carry the conditions you need. Up to 2 or 3 dates explored.
Where this beginning takes place matters. We read your astrocartography lines against the location — and what those lines say about beginning something important there.
For weddings and shared decisions, we read both birth charts — their synastry, both sets of astrocartography lines, and how the chosen date and location land for both people together.
Every beginning that deserves the right conditions.
Weddings
Your date, your location, your charts — and for couples, both charts read together with the sky above.
Business launches
The moment a new venture begins carries its own chart. We find the conditions that best support what you are building.

Important documents, partnerships, legal agreements. The moment of signing carries weight. We find the right one.

Not necessarily. You can come with a fixed date and ask us to read what the sky is offering on that day — or you can come with a window of time and ask Lucy to identify the strongest moments within it. Both approaches work. Come with whatever you have.
Up to 2 or 3 dates or decision scenarios can be explored in meaningful depth. If you have a longer list, bring it — Lucy will focus on what is most relevant to your situation and the time available.
No. You can come with a confirmed location or with two or three options you are weighing. Part of what this session can help with is understanding which location better supports the beginning — so uncertainty is a valid reason to book, not a reason to wait.
Your date, time and place of birth — and for the couple session, both people's birth details. The dates and locations you want to explore are also helpful to share in advance. Cancellations more than 24 hours before the session can be rescheduled. Within 24 hours, sessions are non-refundable.
The solo session (A$333 · 60 min) reads your natal chart alongside the sky on your chosen date and the astrocartography of the location. It is designed for one person making a significant decision — a launch, a move, a contract, a personal milestone. The couple session (A$383 · 75 min) reads both natal charts together, their synastry, and the astrocartography lines for both people — then layers the chosen date and location across all of it. It is designed for shared decisions, particularly weddings, where the timing and place need to hold well for two people, not one.
Electional astrology is the practice of choosing the most astrologically supported moment to begin something important. The word "elect" comes from the Latin for choosing — and that is exactly what this is: a deliberate, informed choice of when to begin, so that the moment itself carries the best possible conditions for what you are starting. Unlike a natal chart reading, which reads what already exists, electional astrology looks forward. It reads the sky on a specific future date and asks: does this moment support the intention behind it? Are the planetary conditions aligned with what you want to begin? In The Opening, we go further than timing alone — we read location alongside date, because where something begins is part of how it begins.
A good wedding date in astrology is one where the sky on that day supports the themes of partnership, commitment and longevity — and where those conditions align specifically with the charts of the two people involved. Generally, astrologers look for Venus and Jupiter in supportive positions, a Moon that is waxing or full rather than waning or void of course, and no major difficult transits landing on the wedding date itself. But the most important factor is always how that date lands in the specific charts of the couple. A date that looks promising in general may land differently for two people depending on their natal placements. This is why a personalised session will always be more useful than a list of generally auspicious dates — the chart of the wedding belongs to the two people getting married, not to the calendar.
No — and that is not what this session promises. Electional astrology does not override circumstances, free will, or the complexity of human life. What it can do is give your beginning the best possible astrological conditions — a sky that supports rather than works against what you are trying to create. Think of it less as a guarantee and more as choosing the right soil before you plant something. The conditions matter. They do not determine everything. But beginning something important under a sky that supports it — rather than one that actively challenges it — is a meaningful act of intention. That is what The Opening is for.
